JESUS AND ETERNAL LIFE

Why Am I Doing This?

Why am I putting all of this up on Jesus and eternal life? Yes, I do have a reason for it. The most important reason is because Jesus said to do it...

"Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

I am a witness. Jesus is alive, he has saved me (given me eternal life), he has healed me several times, and saved and healed many others I know, both Jew and Gentile. I know he's coming soon. I should keep that to myself?

In Luke, he quoted from the Hebrew prophet, Isaiah, saying, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."

We who believe are told to do the same as he did. If there are opportunities, I try to tell what I can about him.

Secondly, (besides being told to do so), I want to, it is my desire to tell you what I and many others have found in Jesus. That he is the Son of God, that he is God himself in the flesh, that he is the giver of eternal life, who is reigning now from his throne in heaven at the Father's right hand, and that he is coming again soon.

Some words Jesus spoke commanding to those who believe in him:

"These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, 'Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give
.'"

After his resurrection...

"And when he had so said, he showed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
Then said Jesus to them again,
Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you."

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the [age]."

Another,

"Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

"For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
"Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.

"But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
"
And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory.
"And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other."

Everything I do is because I have Jesus, and he has me. I'm not into "religion". The difference is incomparable. (Some additinal words I would like to end with: Prov 16:33; Is 65:6-11; Jn 6:37)

Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the Lord, And He will have compassion on him,
And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth
And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:6-11)

All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. (John 6:37)
